Apollo + Claude: Run Your Entire Outbound Loop in One Conversation
Apollo just shipped a native integration with Claude. Not a Zapier connection. Not a Chrome extension. A real connector that lets you search prospects, enrich contacts, and push them into sequences — all inside a Claude conversation. For solo founders running outbound, this changes the workflow significantly.

What the integration actually does
Apollo built this as a native connector using Anthropic's Model Context Protocol (MCP). That means it runs on Apollo's own infrastructure with OAuth authentication — no API keys to manage, no third-party middleware. The setup takes about one minute: open Claude, go to Settings, select Connectors, pick Apollo, authenticate, and you are live.
Once connected, you can run the full outbound prospecting loop inside a single Claude conversation:
- Search prospects in natural language. Instead of clicking through Apollo's filter UI, you describe what you want: "Find VP-level RevOps leaders at Series B fintech companies in New York." Claude translates that into Apollo's search filters and returns matching contacts.
- Enrich contacts. Pull verified emails, phone numbers, company data, job postings, and growth signals — all using your existing Apollo enrichment credits.
- Create or update records. Add new contacts to your Apollo database or update existing ones without switching tabs.
- Add to sequences. Push enriched contacts directly into your existing Apollo outreach sequences. They start receiving your emails without any manual handoff.
The workflow is Search → Enrich → Create → Sequence, all in one conversation thread.
Who this is actually for
This integration matters most for solo founders and small teams who are already using Apollo for outbound but losing time to the dashboard workflow. If you recognize this pattern, the integration is built for you:
- Open Apollo. Build a search. Export a list. Switch to a spreadsheet. Clean the data. Go back to Apollo. Create contacts. Add to a sequence. Repeat three times a week.
- That is 30-45 minutes of context switching per prospecting session. Most of it is navigation and data wrangling, not strategic thinking about who to target.
With the Claude connector, you describe your ideal prospect in plain language, review what comes back, refine the criteria conversationally, and push the final list into a sequence. The prospecting session that used to take 45 minutes can compress to 15 because you eliminate the tab-switching and manual data handling.
It is also useful for iterating on targeting. You can say "those results skew too enterprise — narrow to companies under 50 employees" and Claude adjusts the filters without you rebuilding the search from scratch.
A practical walkthrough: prospect 50 leads
Here is how a real prospecting session works with the integration:
Step 1 — Define your target. "I need marketing directors at B2B SaaS companies with 20-100 employees, based in the US, who have open SDR or BDR job postings."
Claude runs the Apollo search with those filters and returns a list of matching contacts with names, titles, companies, and basic details.
Step 2 — Review and refine. "Good list, but exclude anyone in fintech — our product does not serve that vertical well. Also prioritize companies that raised funding in the last 12 months."
Claude adjusts the search parameters and returns an updated list. No rebuilding filters manually.
Step 3 — Enrich. "Enrich the top 50 contacts — I need verified emails and company size."
Apollo runs enrichment using your plan's credits. Claude shows you the enriched data and flags any contacts where email verification failed.
Step 4 — Push to sequence. "Add the 47 contacts with verified emails to my Q1 Outbound sequence."
Done. Those contacts are now in your Apollo sequence, receiving your outreach emails on the cadence you already set up. Total time: about 10 minutes.
What this replaces in your workflow
Before the integration, the typical solo founder outbound workflow looked like this:
- Open Apollo dashboard and build search filters (5 minutes)
- Export to CSV (1 minute)
- Open spreadsheet, clean data, remove bad fits (10 minutes)
- Re-import cleaned list to Apollo (3 minutes)
- Create contacts and add to sequence (5 minutes)
- Repeat 2-3 times per week
That is roughly 70-100 minutes per week on prospecting mechanics. The integration does not change your strategy or your sequences — it compresses the execution. The same work that took 25 minutes per session now takes about 10 because you stay in one interface and describe what you want instead of clicking through filters.
The other underrated benefit: conversation memory. Claude remembers your previous searches within a session. You can say "same criteria as before but target the East Coast" and it adjusts without you restating every filter. Try doing that in a dashboard.
Honest limitations of the beta
This is an early access beta, and a few things are worth knowing before you build your entire outbound workflow around it:
- Credit consumption is real. Every enrichment uses your Apollo plan's credits just like the dashboard. If you get enthusiastic with "enrich all 200 results," you will burn through credits fast. Be deliberate about enrichment volume.
- You need a paid Apollo plan. Free tier users cannot access the connector. This is for teams already invested in Apollo as their prospecting tool.
- Sequence creation is limited. You can add contacts to existing sequences, but building new sequences from scratch inside Claude is not yet supported. Create your sequences in Apollo first, then use Claude for the prospecting-to-sequence pipeline.
- Beta stability. This is early access. Expect occasional rough edges — a search that does not translate perfectly, an enrichment that takes longer than expected. It is solid enough for real work, but do not abandon your Apollo dashboard entirely just yet.
How to set it up (one minute)
- Open Claude and go to Settings → Connectors
- Select Apollo from the connector list
- Authenticate with your Apollo account via OAuth (no API keys needed)
- Start a new conversation and try: "Search for marketing managers at SaaS companies with 10-50 employees"
The connector uses your existing Apollo permissions and plan limits. If your account can access a feature in the Apollo dashboard, you can access it through Claude. Access is fully revocable from your Apollo settings at any time.
The bottom line
This is not AI replacing your outbound strategy. Your targeting, your sequences, your messaging — all of that still requires human judgment. What the integration eliminates is the mechanical overhead: the filter-clicking, tab-switching, CSV-exporting busywork that makes prospecting feel heavier than it needs to be.
For solo founders already using Apollo, this is a genuine workflow upgrade. You describe your ideal prospect in plain language, Claude handles the execution, and the contacts land in your sequence ready to receive outreach. The outbound loop stays the same — it just runs faster.
If you are evaluating Apollo for the first time, this integration makes it meaningfully more attractive than competitors that still require you to live in their dashboard. The combination of Apollo's data with Claude's conversational interface is what "AI-first outbound" actually looks like in practice — not replacing the tool, but removing the friction around it.
